Blue Click PR pulls off Manchester United Coup for First City Training at London Skills for Care Awards Ceremony
26th November 2008, Swindon, United Kingdom - First City Group Business Manager Stephen Trowbridge appointed Blue Click PR Ltd. three weeks ago to capitalise on their successful nomination for the national Skills for Care 2008 Accolades. Blue Click PR’s Managing Director, Rhona Jack, accompanied a dozen excited First City Training employees to the glitzy London ceremony to maximise all possible PR opportunities. Coincidentally, Manchester United’s football team arrived at the same hotel with players under a strict curfew and heavily guarded by security. However, Rhona’s extensive experience and powers of persuasion resulted in a photograph of three First City Group staff with England World Cup Defender Rio Ferdinand. As far as we know, absolutely no other professional photographs were allowed that night with any Manchester United players.
In addition Rhona secured video interviews with the TV crew covering the event and worked alongside the Skills for Care PR team managing the ceremony who commented on her professionalism. Skills for Care’s Regional Development Manager and awards judge, John Nash, commented ‘It was a delight to work with Rhona at the Skills for Care Accolades at the Landmark Hotel. Rhona’s eye for an opportunity is excellent and not only did she manage to set up a photograph of the First City Training team with the new Minister of State for Social Care, Phil Hope, but she also created a superb photo opportunity with Rio Ferdinand from Manchester United FC who were staying in the hotel that night.’
