18th April 2007, Swindon, United Kingdom - In three years of networking in the small business community, experienced business coach Jeremy Marchant has observed that most business people face the same issues. So Jeremy is running two courses to equip business people to work better with other people. He has teamed up with another NLP master practitioner, David Griffiths, to deliver ‘Work Better with NLP Techniques’ on Wednesday 2nd May in Bristol. The course is open to anyone and is designed to enable business people to overcome these common issues. Members of NRG Business Networks can benefit from discounts.
Jeremy and David will explain and demonstrate a range of NLP techniques to enable people to tackle those issues which are so prevalent in the business community: goal setting, confidence, problem solving, changing limiting beliefs and dealing with difficult people, amongst others. ‘Time after time, I have seen how business people are less successful than they could be, just because they don’t realise these blocks can be so easily overcome,” says Jeremy. ‘It’s almost like teaching people how to get out of their own way!’ he adds. The main benefit of attending the course will be the extensive opportunities it will provide for delegates to practise the techniques under supervision.
Jeremy believes that NLP techniques can be very beneficial to businesses, particularly as they can be taught in a practical, hands-on way which ensures delegates learn them, not just learn about them. Practical exercises mean delegates finish the day better equipped to work effectively on their business than they were at the start of the day. Jeremy is a strong advocate of networking as a means of growing his own business and finds NRG Business Networks particularly valuable. By way of thanks, he is offering a substantial reduction on the course cost to NRG members. ‘Work better with NLP techniques’, is being run by Jeremy Marchant and David Griffiths for Pitman Training, Bradley Stoke, Bristol on 2nd May. The cost is £245+VAT, or £195+VAT for NRG members. Second and subsequent people from the same organisation pay £155+VAT. Communications Skills course On 27th April, Jeremy and Kay McMahon are delivering a course entitled ‘Innovative Communication Techniques’, which looks at how to tailor communication to what the audience needs, not what you want to say. Both are specialists in Emotional Intelligence at work and this course focuses on best practice in communication: whether emails, group presentations, phone calls and formal letters. Whilst most courses focus on training the communicator, Jeremy is of the opinion that communication is a two way street and the focus really needs to be on the recipients of the message. What do they need to hear? How do you adapt your message? The concepts and principles can be used in all communications, both written and oral, in one to one and in group situations, whether or not you know the audience. Included in the cost of this course is a one hour follow up coaching session which is an essential (but voluntary) part of the training process. This coaching session helps each delegate apply the principles to their own work situation. The Cost is £245+VAT, and three people from the same organisation can get in for the price for two.
