Friday 9th Feb 2007, Swindon, UK – Blue Click PR proudly announces it has won the coveted Gold Award for the Chartered Institute of Public Relation’s PRide awards 2006/2007: Small Team/Sole Practitioner of the Year, West of England. The awards were held on Friday 2nd February at the Thistle Hotel, Bristol and Blue Click PR’s entry was entitled ‘Building Clients’ Brands by Association With Their Blue Chip Clients’. The judges decided not to give bronze or silver awards this year because according to TV Presenter Susan Osman, ‘There was just one, truly outstanding team this year that the judges felt was head and shoulders above the rest in its category. With a range of great work, Blue Click PR is the only finalist and winner.’
There were 1292 entries across 11 regions which represents a 25% increase on last year and the highest number of entries was from the West. Lis Anderson, Chair of CIPR West of England says ‘The PRide Awards are about raising professional standards by identifying, recognising and rewarding the first-rate work going on in the PR industry outside London and the contribution this makes to business and society. The judging process is rigorous and to win is a tremendous achievement!’ The judges were chaired by CIPR Director General Colin Farrington who commented ‘Your work has been judged to the highest standards by leading PR experts.’
Blue Click PR’s Managing Director, Rhona Jack, says ‘We decided to enter because our clients regularly win when we write their award entries! Last year, we helped our client Wincor Nixdorf win two Global Awards and one Highly Commended for the Banker’s Technology Awards. The Financial Times judge commended our work so we’re delighted Blue Click PR has received wider recognition for the high standards we aspire to for every client.’
Working with high-quality, small and medium size organisations with well-known client brands, Blue Click PR has an excellent track record of persuading large companies to do joint press releases and case studies. Their PR departments have been comfortable with Blue Click PR’s professional approach and Rhona adds ‘These brands see the value of what we do and we often achieve approvals with minimal changes because we do our homework!’
