Marriott Hotel Swindon's 'Business Person of the Month Award' Goes to Blue Click PR's MD, Rhona Jack

The four star Marriott Hotel in Swindon has been running a ‘Business Person of the Month’ award since July 2006 in conjunction with the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce, Swindon Advertiser and the regional Institute of Marketing. A select committee reviewed the profiles of several candidates across Swindon and Blue Click PR’s Managing Director Rhona Jack was November’s winner. As her reward, she enjoyed a first class lunch at the hotel complete with champagne celebration with guests from these organisations.
Rhona is the fifth recipient of the Swindon award and she was presented with her plaque by The Marriott Hotel’s General Manager, Bertrand Dijoux, on his last day in office. Bertrand has been with the company since February 1999 and has just taken over the General Manager’s position at the prestigious London Marriott Hotel Kensington. He will be back in Swindon at the end of January to judge the monthly award winners and award ‘The Business Person of the Year 2006’ at a celebratory dinner.
Bertrand Dijoux says ‘’We aim to provide a great dining experience and excellent surroundings in which to entertain clients. We host many of the market-leading companies based in Swindon and we see these awards as a way of giving something back and supporting businesses of all sizes in our local community. Congratulations to Rhona on her success – we hope to see her with her clients here often in future!’
These business awards were conceived by The Marriott Hotel and run in other areas such as Bristol, Slough and will start soon in Reading.

The ‘Business Person of the Year 2006’ will be announced at the end of January 2007. Blue Click PR Ltd. is also a finalist in the Institute of Public Relations, PRide Awards 2006, Small Agency category with winners to be announced in February 2007.
